With depression serving to undermine many lives, in a society that seems to offer little by the way of support and advice relevant to the individual needs, there IS an urgent cry for the respect of humanity and personal integrity alike?
Too often we see vulnerable people being left to deal with their difficulties alone, or with little ‘effective’ assistance.
Minor bouts of worry being ‘allowed’ to manifest into depression, which leads into clinical consequences. Too often a demand for help being offset against cost and a lack of committed time, resulting in greater cost and time, leading to potential suicide or self harming?
There has to be more proactive leadership in these fields and human needs being given an ‘above adequate’ response to their worries. Every person lost to mental illness, smears society with the damning truth of its inadequacies. The unknown quantity of these failures, may well be limiting the future of mankind and the development of a social integrity, fit for the 21st Century?
